Welcome to the Northside Hospital-Atlanta Auxiliary's website.  We are a dedicated group of individuals who give of their time and expertise to assist patients, families, visitors, employees and staff at Northside Hospital-Atlanta.  We are also involved in fundraising activites which provide funding for special projects which benefit the hospital and the community.  Whether you are a current auxilian, or interested in becoming a volunteer, we hope you will enjoy the information provided here.

 

                 NORTHSIDE HOSPITAL-ATLANTA’S AUXILIARY SPONSORED CAMP HOPE 2010

 

The Northside Hospital-Atlanta Auxiliary is once again pleased to announce another successful year of Camp Hope, an adult retreat for individuals who have been diagnosed and/or treated for cancer at Northside Hospital.  The retreat, in cooperation with the Department of Oncology, was held at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, GA on Friday, April 23-Sunday, April 25, 2010.  Camp Hope was fully funded by the Northside Hospital-Atlanta Auxiliary.  The entire weekend was free of charge and transportation was provided for all campers.

 

Camp Hope’s mission is to create a healing environment for those living with cancer by fostering meaningful relationships with others through shared experiences, relaxation and fun.  Activities included seminars, outdoor activities, arts and crafts and many others too numerous to name.

 

Campers must be 18 years or older, ambulatory and independent, and must have approval from their physician.  Applications will be available at the Northside Hospital-Atlanta Auxiliary office, the Cancer Center and Infusion at the end of January 2011 for next year's camp.  We are not currently taking applications for Camp Hope 2011.
